MICHIGAN ZOOS

Experience a wild time on a Summer Safari! Campers ages 4-13 can explore the wonders
of the animal kingdom through tours of the Detroit Zoo, hands-on activities, games,
arts and crafts. Campers can choose from a variety of single-day, week-long and overnight s
essions. Summer Safari sparks an interest in and respect for wildlife, conservation
and animal welfare. The Detroit Zoo is located at the northwest corner of the intersection
of Woodward Avenue and Ten Mile Road (I-696) in Royal Oak.

Cindy Lou's Zoo is located on twenty scenic acres with an expansion to an additional
twenty acres in the near future. The Couturier's goal is to offer the public a variety
of exotic and domestic animals to learn about and enjoy, while creating a safe,
friendly environment for the animals in their care. Visit with Humphrey the Camel,
Rooh the Wallaby, Chip the Miniature Horse and Rebecca the Red Deer, just to name a few.

The DeYoung Family Zoo is an organization that opened to the public in 1990. This zoo
focuses on exotic felines and gives each visitor the opportunity to interact with
these magnificent creatures. This zoo is unique because it is hands on and all of
the animals are very responsive. Personal attention is given to each animal as
well as to each guest.
