| MISSOURI ZOOS The Kansas City Zoo sits on 202 acres of rolling hills in the middle of Swope Park, the second largest urban park in the United States. It is the home to almost 900 animals from six continents. The Zoo is open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. The Saint Louis Zoo has educated, entertained and earned a place in the hearts of St. Louisans for generations. The Saint Louis Zoo currently has about 11,400 animals and more than 800 species of animals. Most of their mammals, and many other animals, were born in captivity. The Zoo is open everyday, except December 25 (Christmas Day) and January 1 (New Year's Day). Admission to the Zoo is FREE although there are fees for some attractions. Don't forget your camera! |
